Our Conveyor and Batch Systems Can Handle Your Powder Coating Needs

Most shops that provide powder coat services have one type of processing system: conveyor or batch.

Shops with conveyor systems have the ability to take on high-volume parts. Shops with batch systems have the ability to take on highly customized parts (usually in lower volumes). It's rare to find a shop that accommodates both types of projects.

At Applied Powdercoat, we're proud to have conveyor and batch processing systems in our state-of-the-art facility. Specifically, we have two batch systems, two conveyor systems, and two ovens to ensure maximum capacity for our powder coat services.

As one of the few shops in southern California with such robust and versatile processing systems, our team can confidently and efficiently handle all your powder coating needs.

Conveyor Processing for High-Volume Parts

We use conveyor processing when we need to powder coat a large number of parts with basic masking and coating requirements.

A key advantage of our conveyor lines is that they move faster than batch systems, which decreases cost and wait time.

We have two conveyor systems in different sizes, enabling us to powder coat large and small parts in high volumes.

  • Automated Line #1: Part sizes up to 72″ x 120″ x 30″

  • Automated Line #2: Part sizes up to 36″ x 40″ x 15″

Our shop’s conveyor systems can handle hundreds, even thousands of parts. It would be difficult for a shop without conveyor processing to take on orders of that magnitude.

Batch Processing for Highly Customized Parts

Our batch processing booths enable a more hands-on powder coating process. Instead of parts running quickly through an automated conveyor line, parts are powder coated manually by one of our in-house powder coating experts.

This manual process is, understandably, slower, but it allows us to accommodate highly customized orders, such as parts requiring multiple colors or complex masking, with close attention to detail. We also use batch processing to powder coat parts too big for our conveyor systems.

  • Batch System #1: Part sizes up to 8′ x 8′ x 24′

  • Batch System #2: Part sizes up to 8′ x 9′ x 16′

It’s worth noting that while it’s possible to mask parts on a conveyor line, the masking requirements would need to be relatively simple to obtain top-quality results. A shop without a batch system would undoubtedly find it challenging to powder coat parts with complex masking requirements—especially if there are significant variations in size, shape, and materials.

Conveyor and Batch Systems Provide High-Quality Powder Coat Services

With both conveyor and batch processing, Applied Powdercoat can take on a variety of orders, whether customers need a high volume of parts or lower volumes of parts requiring significant customization.

Our conveyor and batch systems use heated iron-phosphate pre-treatment and in-house glass-bead and sandblasting. This equipment—housed in our state-of-the-art 30,000-square-foot facility—enables us to be an effective partner for our customers and meet all their powder coating needs.

Our team is committed to quality, responsiveness, and customer service. Request a quote for our powder coat services today.
